Bomb is a nice little novella that takes place before Guns. It provides some extra background information about Spencer and Veronica and has some flashback scenes of how they met. All in all it was an enjoyable short story. I liked getting a feel for Spencer's point of view before diving into Guns. But just like Slack this novella is only one day in their life, an important one for sure, but probably the importance will be even more obvious after reading Guns.

From the three main guys in this series, Ronin, Ford and Spencer, I have to say Spencer is my least favourite. I am not sure why, but I prefer the other two. I still liek Spencer, but he's just a bit too agressive and too harsh. Although he certainly has a soft side as well. Even though he might show his love for Veronica in a weird way, it is obvious he loves her. At first I thought Spencer was a player and had many females, but soon it's obvious he has only eyes for Veronica and does everything for her. I liked seeing that side of Spencer.

To conclude: I enjoyed bomb and reading about a day in the life of Spencer and I am curious how the events in this book will relate to Guns. Spencer is my least favourite of the three guys in this series, but I did like learning more about him.

Bomb is a brief glimpse into a day in the life of Spencer. We first met Spencer in Tragic, though we don't really get to know him until Manic. By the end of Panic we want to know more about both him and Ford. Well, Ford got his story told, and now it is Spencer's turn.

The thing I like most about this series as a whole is that the next book leaves very little gap between it and the one before it. Bomb picks up just a few weeks after the end of Taut (Ford's book). We get to see the guys working together on a new job, something that seems to only affect Spencer, but I have a feeling it will turn into something bigger.

I really enjoyed the way Bomb was written - it took place in current timeline, but had some flashbacks so we still got to see how Spencer and Veronica 'Ronnie' met. It is fun to be in Spencer's head as he "stalks his prey"' so to speak. He is definitely one of those guys that once he sees something he wants, he gets it. But he makes it seem like the other person's idea. Or at least doesn't force the issue. If he really isn't wanted, he backs off, for now.

Bomb certainly sets the scene for Guns, and I am very excited to see how everything plays out with the trial, the boys, the new season of the show, and whatever else Huss decides to throw our way. I've enjoyed every minute I've had with these books and am eagerly anticipating my next date with the guys - and Spencer!

Have you met Spence yet?
No, well let me introduce you. I think you will really like him but remember one thing. ...HE IS MINE.

Seriously.

Mine.

Spencer is first introduced in Tragic - the first book in the series and from the moment we met my heart did a little fluttery thing. In Manic I knew he would be my guy. In Panic I had no question about it. In Bomb? Well let's just say he proved me right.
I LOVE SPENCER SHRIKE.

Gorgeous, tall, well built, tatted up in only red and black and he makes custom bikes. What more could you want from a boyfriend?

Sweet, protective, smart, funny, caring, sexy as hell, and all around bad ass business man. You want all that too?
Too bad 'cause Spence has it all and then some and as I just told you HE. IS. MINE.

Bomb is a day in his life. Just one day but it will show you sides to my guy like you haven't seen in the 3 previous books. I highly highly recommend this new novella by JA Huss.

The only bad thing I could think to say about it is that it isn't long enough. But my time with Spencer never is.
