This book has everything, Malorie Blackman's writing, a forbidden romance, murder mystery and it's set in space! So why did I leave it on hiatus for over a year?
I don't like dnf-ing books but then I put this book back on the shelf and found I had very little motivation to finish reading it. I didn't particularly connect to any of the characters but especially the main romance and its drama, I just had no interest in reading about. And the murder mystery, one of my favourite genres, felt very pushed to the side. It's hard to talk properly about this book given I read the first half so long ago but I will say the major reveal of the book I felt was well done. I will go back and re read this whole book one day and maybe then I'll enjoy it more. Or I'll just be reminded why I struggled to finish reading it the first time. A bit disappointing but mainly due to me having such high standards for it

Leuk boek. Heel afwisselend. Echter vond ik Het eind niet helemaal mijn ding. Echter wel leuk dat het anders is dan verwacht

I liked this book because I liked the characters and the mystery, I did not expect the plot twist. But i didn't like the ending that much.

I wanted to love this but I'm so disappointed. The instalove in this is just too fucking much for me. Plus it was a little too predictable. And it had a completely unsatisfying end too. Full review to come.

I liked the plot and twists in this very much! The writing was just right for me. This was a quick read while being so long. I will definetly be checking out more from the author.
SpoilerI am glad they didn't end up together. Nathan was quite childish and annoying in my opinion and Vee deserves so much better than him!

I wanted to like this a lot more than I did. I loved the idea of a space-age, dystopian, gender-swapped Shakespearean retelling, but nothing particularly stood out to me.

It's good for light reading and I really adore Blackmans work, but I could not get lost in this story.
