This is a great middle-grade read for those interested in the rapture. I thought all of the characters were unique and all of the conflicts different for each character. When all of them came together in the last chapter, it made me want to keep reading. If I am able to get ahold of the rest of the series, I will definitely keep reading!

I dont know what I was expecting when I picked this book up but it was not this & I mean that in the best way possible. This book had me flying through pages & wondering what was going to happen next & I am going to be picking up the next book asap! I think its important to note that I read this as a dystopian thriller opposed to reading from any sort of religious standpoint. There are a few tangents but it really just drives home a lot of the main ideas in the book & helps build the characters in the story. This book was written in '95 which might be why the women seem hysterical & over dramatic sometimes & some other things didn't age well so im docking points for that. Cant wait to continue the series!
Graphic: Child death, Grief, Death of parent, and Murder
Moderate: Suicide and Violence
Minor: Infidelity, Miscarriage, Car accident, Abortion, Pregnancy, and War
