I was so excited for this book, as I love young adult LGBTQ romances and science fiction. But it’s entirely too long (especially the ending seems dragged out forever) and I don’t like being left with a lot of questions.

this was fun and gave so much to think about as well like his books always do, this guy never disappoints with his sci-fi.

This is a really hard book to talk about honestly. I wanted to love this, I have loved two of the Shaun David Hutchinson's books and I have given the other two I've read three stars. I started off loving this book, I loved it for so much of the book until suddenly, it hit a point where it was kind of just like what the fuck? And as soon as that plot twist happened, the book just went downhill for me, I hated the twist so it bought the book down so much for me unfortunately. Having said that, the ending is clearly set up for a sequel and would I read a sequel? Probably.

I won't write a lot as it is a book you need to go in blind to, to fully enjoy.

The play really only starts about 100 pages in and it is a mass of story beats from there. The main character Noa starts off as an arsehole and you will be amazed that anyone likes him. This being side does have very good character development  as he is a redeemable character by the end of the book.
