Such a journey

Aiden might be my favorite sociopath ever...he has so many layers and I absolutely loved him. I loved the twists and turns in their story. I couldn't put it down.

Oh my! What a wonderful conclusion to Aiden and Elsa’s story! I absolutely adored it! It was suspenseful, sweet, passionate, emotional, and heartwarming. I am over the moon for these two and their story.

And Aiden? Well this guy earned a place in my fav-heroes shelf (or anti-heroes as it were) with this book. I liked him a lot in the first two books, but his complete development in this book ripped open my heart (in a good way?). He’s fantastic. I mean, you’d love him as long as you love overly possessive and obsessive anti-heroes (which this girl does).

I can’t say enough good things about this one. No complaints. And as someone who has (inadvertently) read some books by Rina Kent that take place later in the timeline (the Thorns Duet), I gotta say I appreciate seeing characters from those future books in these books (Dan, Knox, Asher). It just tickles me in all the right places. lol

And speaking of future characters, I also am appreciating seeing the moves that Rina Kent is making in the background with the other characters and their love stories. You can tell she’s setting stuff up for the other guys and it’s mysterious, but enough clues to know that their love stories are happening simultaneously. Fun stuff! I love overlapping stories like that in a series; it adds such a depth to the series and the world she’s created with these books.

Also speaking of characters, I adore Rina Kent’s ability to create super rich and vibrant characters. I love these peeps so much. And they all already have unique voices despite being side characters. She’s excellent at character building. So good!

Overall this was a great trilogy for these two awesome characters. I loved them and their amazing story so much.
I can’t wait to not only read on in the series but also read many, many more books from this author.

4 stars. Im finding it, the appeal although I don’t think it was that fire. Overall I think the series is average, to the three I give it 3.5 stars, the missing half just because I think the plot and everything, it’s repetitive and resembles a tad bit to much to Cruel King
