"He found himself weeping.
Not for the future or for the emperor. These were the tears of a man who saw before himself a masterpiece. True art was more than beauty; it was more than technique. It was not just imitation.
It was boldness, it was contrast, it was subtlety"

I thought this was a fun story but I was expecting more of a connection to Elantris. They vaguely mention Teod and I don’t even know if the Rose Empire was mentioned in Elantris.

It was cool to see the Cosmere connection to Mistborn though, and I’m hoping the Elantris sequel will connect all of the kingdoms on Sel and expand on that world within the Cosmere.

This book is perfect example of how a perfect magic system can be.

The book is so short and yet I got so immersed in the world and I could feel the magic.
This is a book that I'm sure I'll re-read multiple times in the future and enjoy it each time.

One of my favorite Sanderson books, reminds me a lot of Words of Radiance.
