A good and satisfactory ending to the trilogy and a good setup for Black's next series in this world that piqued interest without being too intrusive. I think I only really paid so much attention to it because I'd already known that this was the protagonist of the new series. Jude and Madoc's antagonism is (was, remains) such a fascinating father-daughter relationship. Interestingly, I found that the pacing in this book was noticeably faster than The Wicked King - not so much as to be distracting but enough to be noticeable.

I loved this book so much, it just took me almost 100 pages before I got really into it, and It might be because I took breaks in between reading but honestly this book was just amazing to read. It was so good that I didn't want to put it down but I also did because I didn't want to finish the book and the world, their characters and lives to all be over. But eventually I just sat down and read just over two hundred pages in one day cause that's how into the book I was.

I would recommend reading the first two book first (obviously) to understand this book but I thoroughly enjoyed the writing, the character devolvement and the revel of traitors and the exciting but very welcomed twist and turns that were around every corner. I loved this book to bits and I would have given it 5 stars, but it just took me a while to fully get into it, but I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who will listen to me talk about it.

Holy crap. I DEVOURED this book. I needed to know what was going to happen with Jude, Madoc, Carden, ...I mean really everyone. There were some people that Jude forgave that I'm still mad at. New friends that I LOVE and wish I got more of.

Definitely so happy that my friend Roni rec'ed this to me, and gifted it to me 🥰, so I could experience this world!

What a beautiful end to the series. So much scheming, so much betrayal, just all my love for those characters and world. It was so hard for me to put it down because so much was going on and so much was at stake!
Holly Black did an amazing job at creating this world and I think it is so well done for young adult fantasy. It is whimsical but without being to flowery in its language. The characters were dynamic and it was so easy to root for them. So many great characters and character growth! I loved to read more about Grimsen, Heather and Vivi's relationship dynamic and Oak's character development to name a few. Jude and Cardan had so many heart-wrenching moments and I highlighted countless beautiful quotes in this book. The Queen of Nothing had some intense twists and turns just as the two first books in the series and once again I loved it so so much! The one negative I have is that I only wish it was longer.

After reading the first two books and rating them both five stars I was nervous this one would not hold up. While it was not my favorite of the trilogy it definitely held up and was an excellent conclusion to all of the story set up in the first two books. I had no lingering questions, and while I would always want more time with these characters I think it ended perfectly.
