It’s not a bad book but it’s nothing special. I felt apathetic to most of the characters. The ones that could be lovable I wasn’t in love with, and only one character inspired strong feelings but it was just hate. The main character isn’t annoying but I still didn’t feel that attached to her. The mystery was fine, like when you start connecting all the dots and feel good about yourself and like the little clues dropped. Some of the secrets and revelations felt outlandish even after the ending, whereas the reactions of some people, while extreme, felt realistic. If you’re not super into mysteries this might be enjoyable or might not be your thing. But if you’re super into them, this probably isn’t the most thrilling read you’d want. It was a quick and easy read so I don’t regret reading it, and it was enjoyable enough, but not something I’d reach for again. The writing was fine though, and I didn’t find myself cringing at it when reading which is nice.

Why did this book have to be a thing? The writing was alllll over & felt incredibly choppy & unedited. Why did the mafia have to be brought into it? I just feel like this is going to be a book that will always make me irrationally mad
