I went into this book expecting it to be a split perspective narrative with the three main characters from reading the blurb but I really enjoyed the fact that it was just from Grace's perspective. The emotions and plot felt really lifelike, I could picture what was happening easily. I didn't understand most of the music terminology used throughout the book but it's clear how important the correct terms are and how much love has been poured into this book. I'll be looking out for more Antsey Harris books in the future.

Apart from Grace being quite irritating for the majority of this book, it is Nadia and Mr Maurice Williams who keep this book captivating and worthwhile.

A thoroughly beautiful read. I didn’t expect to love this as much as I have, and as a string player I was surprised by how much pride for the craft it dredged up from the depths of my being.

This is a wonderful music filled book. Gracie is passionately in love with David but her life as a musical instrument maker and repairer is turned upside down when a good deed by David thrusts him into an unwanted public spotlight. Gracie is knocked sideways by the truth revealed about David. She is lucky to be supported by an old friend and a young employee. We are lucky to be on this journey with Gracie. I loved the music part of it even though I am not a classical music fan. It's a lovely story.

A soft and calming story of a woman who makes string instruments and finds herself again with new friends and acquaintances.
