Much as I recall, story moves at a gallop, though nothing much happens other than to get to know the characters better and for them to become a team and for a lot of worldbuilding. Garion learns more about himself and all is made more complicated by politics.

So, this installment was much better than book 1. More happening, more interesting, more doing, more going.

Again, I really appreciate how this narrator does voices and keeps them consistent. So far I have no complaints in that regard. My version of this audiobook wasn't the best, but that's not a reflection on the narrator or the base material.

I still adore this series.

All 5 stars.

Realizing that the story is very predictable and is losing intrigue. I like the characters and the setting but the same things keep happening over and over. Durnik always finds the place they'll camp, they're ambushed while sleeping, Silk trades in every town they visit, etc. While I appreciate the development of Garion, it's getting tiring to read the same situation unfold over and over. Going to put this down and perhaps try again another time.
