The art was very good for the style of story being told. The story was... fine? Unsure if there is anything else coming after this.

I've read Black Hammer prior and i am beginning to see a pattern. Jeff Lemire has ideas but he seems to have trouble making stories out of them. The writing is very weak. He is prolific so i wonder if all his work has a good baseline with very thin development. I still have Descender that I own, to read (and a black hammer spinoff). So I'll give him 3 chances before I write him off

This was a solid comic overall. It felt like it went by too fast, but I enjoyed the humor and the genuine characters. The page layouts were excellent, even though some individual panels looked sloppy. I can see why some people disliked it, but it connected with me.

Artwork is interesting, story is ok but not particularly meaningful. It doesn't really do much with the fact that this barbarian warrior is in the modern world. Spends most of the time in the woods/park. Seems like a missed opportunity.
