Shoot - I don't remember if I read this last year or this year. Guess it's going into this year! It was... OK. I wanted more of some things, and a LOT less of others. More story/plot, more worldbuilding, and less identity stuff, mainly.

This was actually quite fun! Solid 3.5, but since my main complaint was that it was too short, I felt it was only fair to round it up. The concept is pretty spot on (who hasn’t gotten lost in Ikea? Or, sorry, the fake version in the book) and it also nails the drudgery of working in a place like that (I will NEVER go back to retail if I can help it).

All the being said, I feel like we’ve barely gotten a taste of the multiverse here, but I’m happy to see that there is more in the works!

Short and sweet with decently fleshed-out characters for a short story. Given, much of this is told to us, but also shown through backstory. This was a good depiction of two people freshly-wounded from a breakup and hashing their issues out in an absurdist setting.

The horrors of capitalism, but make it transcend the multiverse. I liked the discussion of possibilities and alternate realities.
