I have to say, I really, really liked these. There is something to be said for a little story telling coupled with history. These books were better than the Other Boelyn Girl. I also learned a lot about the French Revolution, France and the Bonapartes. Torine, don't judge me!

This series may be my favorite historical fiction. It's virtually impossible to put down.

PHENOMENAL books! Totally engrossing, fascinating and enthralling. From the first page of the first book in the trilogy to the last, it just can't be put down. Have read all 3 several times. Written as if they were Josephine's diaries. She as amazing woman, and Napoleon quite the hottie!

I read this trilogy one right after the other and throughly enjoyed them. I'm no expert on Josephine's life and times but these books seemed to be well researched and were certainly entertaining.

This is one of my favourite "series" - I often get frustrated with the repetive nature of historical fiction novels, but this series - whether you read it in its entirety - or any book individually is really good - it flows, it's rich in description, but not overly bogged down with unrelated details.
Interesting perspective of this period of time from Josehpine's story.

I loved this series. I found the first two in a thrift store by chance and I had no problem paying full price for the third. This book is highly recommended for anyone who is into historical fiction.
