This was so intense and so captivating that I just couldn't stop reading it! I loved practically everything in this book, from the character developments to the plot to everything!!! I was a bit confused for the love triangle that was there but I think it was handled well. People read this series!!!

A fast-paced story. The characters receive loads more development, though the writing is still a bit rough and a little hard for me to get through because of the childish sound of it. However, I mostly liked the story because of its plot, the world they were placed in, and how the characters interacted with each other (even in the worst possible ways, it was realistic). The romance was light and sometimes forced, but I liked Em and Bishop, and hope to see more of them in the next book. While the plotting and pace is easily the best part of the series, it's good to see the characters develop from the first to the second, to see them grow from mere children to actual considerate beings with not only the determination to survive, but the means.

Often the second book in a trilogy is filler. The characters somewhat mark time, and little happens of serious consequence. Alight is not that book. Scott Sigler takes the characters from the point we left them at the end of Alive and brings them into a whole new world, exploring new environments and new characters while still developing the old threats, plots, and relationships. The story ends in a drastically different place than it began, and hooks us with a cliffhanger that has left me salivating for the conclusion of the story. March can't come soon enough.

This book was even more exciting than the 1st book. This book starts up exactly where the first one left off. They have landed on Omeyocan and Em must decide what to do next for the survival of her crew. There is some rivalry for leadership of their group and though food supplies are short Aramovsky opens up an additional husks that are discovered in the lower levels which puts their survival rate at critical.
While hunting for food Em and the others discover they are not alone. Will they befriend this alien-like creatures or do what Aramovsky says the gods want,....war.

more like a 4.5 because it let on a cliff hanger and it was a little slow in the beginning. other than that I loved it!!!

So Alive is the second book in the Generations Trilogy which I quite enjoyed. I'm not much of a dystopian/utopian genre lover. But this was BRILLIANT. I like to think of this book as the ultimate basic dystopian book with all the cliches and futuristic components. Such as political controversy, fear of the Unknown, space, aliens, war, control, class and status, new age technology just basically every necessity needed for a sci fi/ dystopian book. Amazing work Scott Sigler. Can not wait for the last instalment Alone!!

I liked the change in landscape of those story. The addition of things found on the planet enhanced the story, instead of relying on the Grown ups as the only threat. I am enjoying listening to the podcast version as it comes out as well. Looking forward to the next in the series.

I still don’t know if I like this series or not, I am sucked in and I can’t stop. I need to know what is going to happen!
This one is action packed and so much politics. So again not sure if I like it or not. Em is interesting and I find myself wondering what she is going to do. Her temper will get the best of her that is for sure.
I guess only way to know what is going to happen is to read book 3!
I liked that narration.
