I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I’m a big fan of anything Hades so it was already a WIN in my mind. I haven’t and don’t plan on reading Persephone’s perspective due to reviews talking about her “whining,” but plan to finish Hades’ saga!

I’m not loving the same story twice but I also didn’t hate this after I gave it some time. I also got teary at the end so 5 stars for you!

I found the things going on behind the scenes more intriguing than the first book.
I didn’t like the repeat scenes and with it had all been in one book.
Still I enjoyed it.

I appreciate Hades' view far more than I did Persephone's. Her POV made the whole thing feel very cheesy and juvenile, where he is clearly more mature and his thought processes make more sense and are more intriguing. Not to mention that we get to follow him performing his godly duties and interacting with other characters from mythology instead of watching Persephone drink latte's and deal with trivial friend drama.

Still not a great plot, but I have higher hopes for the Hades saga than I do the Persephone one.

I loved these books from Persephone’s POV but it was a struggle to get through this book for me. It was boring and felt like hug chunks of the story were missing. I think I’ll stick to Persephone’s POV

“Take her, and I will destroy this world. Take her, and I will destroy you. Take her, and I will end us all.”
.
This book is Hades POV to “A Touch of Darkness”, which if you haven’t read you need too. I loved ATOD, and this one was just as amazing. Hades POV shows all the normal thoughts that they keep hidden away, but Hades is also on his own journey while Persephone is on hers. You get to visit the Underworld more and learn about what all Hades puts up with. You learn a lot more about just how much Hades knew from the beginning, and how he was actually trying to succeed with Persephone.
.
Hades thoughts are much more interesting in a way. He’s not a young girl who’s trying to figure himself out. He’s immortal and has lived a long life. His thoughts are much more mature and calculated. However, he’s been alone for so long you get to see how that has effected him and how he handles situations. He’s learning while he’s growing with Persephone. Also, his thoughts are not at all clean. Like this book is spicy always with his thoughts. Somehow this book feels spicer than ATOD with all his filthy thoughts.
.
Hades has been given a gift from the Fates, but a mortal is trying to jeopardize that by cheating life itself. The Fates are angry and demanding he fix it or his beautiful gift will be cut. However, Hades has made a bargain with the Goddess of Love giving him six months to find love. Can Hades fix the Fates before they take away his one hope or will it all come crumbling down with his own decisions?
