Strange reading serials but it is nice to get through a Stephen King book that is less than 200 pages. Doesn't happen often. The format is similar to other books King has written. He doesn't seem to jump around in time as much in this short format.

i find it very funny that two of stephen king's most well-regarded stories (and film adaptations) are non-horror pieces that take place in prisoner. this already doesn't feel like rita hayworth and the shawshank redemption, which is good for the sake of variety, and it's a solid start. i already have an idea of where this goes, but reading this as it was originally serialized makes for an interesting experience. can't wait to feel absolutely awful by the end

bonus dbd section: i don't get why this is labelled as horror on here, but i would not turn down a prison map. like come on that is such a layup
