the writing reminds me of those high-school wattpad romance..🤷🏻♀️ too many things going on (brie, lacey, ashley, dia&finn, parents omg should i keep going?) so the book doesn't feel personal to xavier and vee
AND how could they brushed off the harder topics like it was nothing???? hello? almost getting raped? literal defamation? pedophilia? HUH??????
i'm not scared of darker topics but the way they deal with said darker topics is not cutting it
all TW and darker topics aside, it was honestly not that bad and i'd even say cute and might have some potential with the smut scene but then again how could i put aside those darker topics???
