My Review:
I will be honest, I am not a very spiritual person. I do believe but like the character in the book I have stepped back from really talking to god anymore. I always feel like I have more questions than answers. I wasn't sure what to expect going into this book but I found it uplifting and very good for the soul. I adored the characters and loved, beyond loved the story. This is a very short book but it packs quite a lot in so few pages.
Mirabel is trying to figure out why all of her sister have found the one but she is still looking. So Mirabel has decided that she was no longer talking to God. After selling her company for MILLIONS she goes home for the holidays to spend with her family. Before she leaves she stops at a coffee shop and is visited by God who tells her that if she can find 12 Angels before Christmas he would show her who her true love is. Mirabel runs into an old school friend who not only steals her gift for her mom (by accident) but also makes her very angry any time she sees him and she really isn't sure why. I thought Mirabel was adorable, she was really trying to find her place in this world and she just wanted to find her forever, like most girls do. Brady Watson was just what she needed and I loved how things just happened to work out that when Mirabel got back into her old home town she just kept running into him.
This was a super sweet story and the message that it gives is not only inspiring, it really made me question just how long I would go without talking to God again. Maybe I, like Mirabel, should realize that he is listening and things just happen certain ways for a reason, we might not understand them but one day we will.
This not only got me into the Christmas spirit, I want this book to be a Hallmark Christmas Movie, I would love to see this played out on TV but for now I really enjoyed this book and thinks for anyone who needs a little lift in spirits this is a great book to read.
