Fearless by Shira Glassman

Fearless was too cute. It’s a super short f/f novella (seriously, I read it in under 20 minutes) that follows band mom Lana as she meets and falls for her daughter’s orchestra teacher, Melanie. It takes place over a weekend at All-State Band (!!!!! I didn’t realize how much I needed a book with an all-state ensemble setting, haha). This novella is seriously just… cute. There’s no sex or epic romance, but it captured the feeling of developing a crush on someone (and having that crush reciprocated) extremely well. I mean, f/f + a musical setting and premise? How could I not love this one?

A short and sweet little romance - I liked the theme of rediscovering music and the relationship between the main character and her daughter. It's nice to see stories like this featuring older characters.

3 stars. This was such a sweet and pleasant little novella. I liked Mel and Lana a lot and they were adorable together. The writing was good and this made me wish that this were a full length novel because I would love to see more of these characters and their budding romance.

This felt like a Hallmark movie but with lesbians. I wish it were longer and more fully developed, though I do appreciate it for what it is. The writing wasn't fantastic, but what it lacked in style it made up for in sweetness.

Fearless is a beautifully sweet little story that warmed me up during a not-so-great winter storm. If you like short ginger-snaps of stories that'll make you happy, adult queer women finding love, or people who adore music, this book is for you.
A wonderfully pleasant way to spend an hour. Thank you Shira Glassman, I can't wait to read more of your works.

This is so incredibly sweet. I enjoyed the romance between two forty-somethings who shared the love for music. Also, I kept imagining Stephanie Beatriz as Mel for some reason. Maybe cos they're both cool as heck? Also, enjoyed the fact that Lana came out later in life and that both she and her husband embraced their sexualities. Super soft. Wish it was longer though. Would be so cool to read more about them doing cute stuff.
