The book was well-written but the author pissed me off with all the stupid decisions she makes. It's infuriating how dumb a person can be. The messed up part was that she was great and had a lot of potential to be great. Her insecurities and choices she made ruined her life. What a waste.

I saw myself in the patterns of her self-destructive behaviour. While the author has immense privilege being able to travel the world with her wealth for her self-healing journey, I still acknowledge that her sex addiction was serious and I hope she is in a better place now. Her story made me feel seen in certain aspects but in others, I felt frustrated because her pattern of backsliding and failing too many times was all too real for me.

Honest and uncomfortable, but with one foot in memoir and one foot in academic nonfiction. I found it difficult to engage with this fully.

At first I was fascinated by Garza's tale but about halfway through all of the details (and raunchiness) got a little tedious, especially when she kept making such horrible choices in her love activities. However, I greatly admire the author's bravery in being so candid about every aspect of her life.
