The writing was vivid and moving but I felt uneasy about some of the binaries laid out between roles (virgin mother, artist, etc.)

Or maybe I mostly had problems with one character. Nevertheless, it did keep me up late and wake me up early to finish it...

Tikrai nebuvo ta knyga, kuri mane sužavėjo. Taip gal temos paliestos ir jautrios, bei daug kam aktualios ir rašymas autorės sakyčiau neblogas (labai puikiai sugebėjo vis "perkelti" veikėjų perspektyvas, kad kartais ne iš kart suprasdavai, kad jau kito veikėjo mintys ir išgyvenimai).
Tačiau, manęs neužkabino. Norėčiau pasakyti kodėl, bet pirmiausia, tiksliai ir pati nežinau, tiesiog, o antra, jei pradėčiau pasakoti, kas nepatiko, labai daug "paspoilinčiau"

I thought about DNF'ing this 1/4 of the way through. I toughed it out, finished, and feel a little let down. I'm glad I finished it, but don't think I would have been missing much if I didn't finish.
