I didn't know a lot about Dolores Huerta until this year. I appreciate having a picture book about her life to be able to share with students. It's great to have her example to show us that one person can really make a difference.

This is for younger children, chronicling the many different roles (teacher, mother, storyteller, peacemaker) Dolores Huerta fills in her quest for better working conditions for farm workers.

Magic little picture book here, with great illustrations and a potent story about a woman who stood up for the workers to give them a better life, and better hope for the future. Important and inspirational.

Good children's book about one woman's crusade to improve conditions for migrant workers. Not overly impressed by the illustrations, but a great intro to her for young readers.
