Beautiful illustrations! An entry point to discussing feminism through a biography of one of the leaders of the movement. Something just felt missing for me - seemed too short where it ended. Nice addition of back matter with extended information aligned to each page spread.

A nice biography about Gloria Steinem and what she has done for women and this country. The big thing I didn't know is that she started her own magazine 'Ms.'. I've seen the magazine and didn't know that was her baby. She helped get a generation of women's voices out in the world. She was born in the 30s and she is much older than I thought, which makes sense now. She overcame so much.

I love this quote: " Without leaps of Imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities" Gloria Steinem. Beautiful.

It really is the dreamers who change the world. There is an idea when people say you can't do something, that is like the string being pulled on a bow. It creates all this tension. If you can find something to target, once the pressure builds, the arrow flies true and pierces. This was Gloria.

The artwork is beautiful here. I love the watercolors and colors. A great biography.

Accessible text, luxurious watercolor illustrations and an inspiring message. Exceptional back matter. The ending did feel abrupt and left me wondering about Gloria’s life after the creation of Ms.

Beautifully illustrated and a good intro for young children to Gloria Steinem’s story. I found the actual story a bit dumbed down, but not in such a way as to invalidate Steinem’s life story. Just not as strong or feminist as I would have liked to see. But holy wow that art! I also liked the addition of the timeline and expanded description of each illustration in the back.
