Morganville is back in the rightful hands of Amelie, and humans have more rights.

I love this series, beautifully written, well rounded characters and an amazing world to get lost in.

Starting off, a few months after Lord of Misrule, it is clear to see that there has been a lot of changes to the town of Morganville. Mr. Bishop has really set his claws into the town and things are not looking pretty.

On starting this book I was so worried for Claire and her friends. They all seemed separated and detached from one another, not only physically but also emotionally. The tension throughout the book was kept tight and I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat as I read.

Michael surprised me a lot during the book. He has always been the strong, steady, silent type. always dependable and solid as a rock. It was clear throughout this book, that sometimes he despised just how calm and rational he was. I got the impression that Micheal sometimes wishes he was more like Shane, who acted out his emotions, rather then rationally thought things through.

Myrnin was a character who constantly surprises and fascinates me. He is so unpredictable and yet, to me, that makes him all the more fun to read about. Throughout the series he has slowly become one of my favourite characters, reminding me of an old eccentric uncle. You never know, just quite what he is thinking and yet, dangerous or not, you just have to find out.

The relationship between Clare and Shane, like always, had me swooning. This is one character pairing I am so happy about (although I still wouldn’t mind Shane for myself). I have been enjoying the pace in which their relationship has grown. I find it hasn’t been rushed or dragged out in a long and angst ridden period of time.

Rachel Caine’s ability to write a paranormal series, that is filled with many realistic human qualities, is simply incredible. I love how easy it is to relate to the characters and their emotional issues. From Claire’s hears and insecurities, to Eve’s sassy-ness, I really feel connected to the characters within this book.

Finally I was so excited to read a cute short story at the end of my edition of this book. It was a cute little novella based around Shane. It was great to see things from his point of view, even if it was just for a cute short story. If you haven’t see it, you should defiantly try and get your hands on it.

5 out of 5 for Carpe Corpus. The 6th book in the Morganville series, but without a doubt, just as great as book 1!

This book is ok. I just can't see the point of why this was another book.

It just doesn't seem to fit into the series? like was there really a need to add this book?

I have to say, Myrnin was most defiantly my favourite character in this book! This sixth book picked up right after the ending in fifth-- Bishops in control and Claire and Michael are basically his ** SORRY FOR LANGUAGE** bitches. Its true, and it pisses me off and want to go into the book myself and kill Bishop myself! On a lighter note, Myrnin was amazing as usual, I even liked the little drama with his old "friend" ;) Ada. Well, maybe not a 'little' drama, but nonetheless, it was different and refreshing then the other drama with Bishop, which just made me want to punch a wall. This book kind of made me proud of the Morganville residents, the humans and vampires, yes AND the vampires sort of .. team up? to stop Bishop. READ READ READ, if you have read all the books, just read this one because this one cannot be missed!

Book 6! It hardly even seems like they are six books. They all go by so quickly and flow together so seamlessly from where one ends to the other begins that it all just feels like one continuous story.

Things are escalating very quickly with Bishop. However evil you thought he was in previous books is nothing compared to Carpe Corpus. Everyone is growing desperate to defeat him, including Amelie, which forces them to make some... difficult decisions. Which, of course, means lots of sacrifice.

Again, these are some of my favorite characters in any book or series I've ever read. They're so real and dynamic, they change and grow in every book. The romance is a big part of the series, and I'm so glad to say that Claire and Shane have finally reached a new level in their relationship! I think they are so perfect for each other, it's great to see them finally take that step forward.

Read it read it read it! 5 out of 5 stars.

Bishop is in control. Claire and Michael answer to him. Shane is slated to die (again) and the other vamps have gone underground.

I'm really nervous to read Fade Out, especially since this one had a good ending and it could have stopped there.
From reading the back of it, and my friends reviews, I'm not really excited for it.
