This book will change the way you think about short stories in YA. It will leave you feeling hollowed out and desiring some sort of solid ground because the words of these fantastic writers will demand everything from you. There is too much to highlight in this book but I will say this: Nothing is what it appears to be. Everything is not how it should be.

And, somehow, this is not horrible. It is life.

So, I really didn’t do a good job of updating while reading, oops LOL!!

Overall, this story, 17 different stories, in fact, although fictional was based on something that actually happens in the world, more often than we’d like to admit, I’d say, was truly wonderful and heart wrenching. Although I say the story is wonderful, and it was, I still am only giving it three-and-a-half stars. The book is full of emotions and it will make you feel things that maybe you don’t want to feel. It will make you think about things that you might not want to think about, but we have to face the facts of reality: things like this, although horrible, terrible, and heartbreaking, do happen and it needs to stop.

This book was amazing, i loved how it went through different people somehow related to Kirby. It was really cool because of all of the different writing styles. The emotions I felt through this book were never the same, it was always different for each of the chapters. Because even though Kirby was mentioned in each chapter, each character has there own story. Each chapter is how Kirby fitted into their life.
