This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.

Doctor Mistake by J. Saman is a book in the Boston's Billionaire Bachelors series. This is a stand alone series. Books to not need to be read in a specific order.

This is a great medical romance. As a nurse I spot the inaccuracies and it's distracting. There were no issues with this book.

Grace is a resident who has a family history with her attending Carter. Little does she know that life is about to throw them together in the most delicious way.

This medical romance has nothing on Grey's. I read this in one sitting because I didn't want to put it down.

This is my third book by J. Saman and if it's something she succeeds with every single time, then it's the ability to create a real page turner with a big cast of different characters and make them all lovable. I started the book yesterday and here I am, already finished and craving the next book.

We got our first glimpses of Grace and Carter in the first book, Doctor Scandalous , and the hothot tension between them we saw there just got turned up a notch (or more like a few). I love how the chemistry between the characters always feels so real, like you can reach out and touch it. The steaminess of her books is top-notch, nothing else to say about that.

Anyhow, I might not have found J. Saman's books until this year, but I am sure that I will read many, many more from her in the future! They are a safe bet when it comes down to looking for hot, steamy and also sweet romances with a lot of interesting characters who I hope all get their own books.

A big thank you to the author and Grey's Promotions for providing this ARC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved this book! This was a new-to-me author and I’m already one chapter in to the first book in this series because it was so good. The sexual tension, the instalove for him, the fear of love for her, the friendship that develops- all equal perfection. The spice was spicy. Would’ve loved more spice, but it felt like enough and the plot was entertaining and authentically realistic.

Y’all, if you take one thing away from this on why you should read it, it’s the heat with the flirting is inferno level. And neither liked to admit it is flirting made it even more smirk worthy. The chemistry is insane.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the story of Carter and Grace, an experienced attending OB-GYN doctor and his gorgeous resident in training who is also a long-time family friend. But feelings get involved and their lives are turned upside down - in so many good ways.

One of the reasons I love Saman's books so much is that they're easy to get lost in for a few hours and just enjoy every single word you're reading. No matter what, there is excitement and activity taking place. Their story is one of intense feelings, not just all the activity, and there are a lot of dangers to their careers in the way. Plus the turmoil that Grace is going through after her fiancé essentially destroys her self esteem. But Carter is there to pick up all the pieces and be the biggest support of her life.

These two were absolutely adorable, even if it was frustrating waiting for everything to fall into place, it's what I expect Saman to do when I read one of her books and I appreciate the ending even more so because of it all!

Love This Family

The Fritz family has my heart. Carter and Grace’s story captivated me. He kept his feelings for her secret due to her being in a long term relationship. It wasn’t until her fiancé screwed up that Carter got his chance. Carter bided his time and took a chance when it opened up, even though he wasn’t sure the moment was right. Grace has a lot going on in her life. Worthless parents, a dirtbag fiancé, health concerns, and a jerky co-worker. Somehow they find their way through. The hardest thing to deal with in this book is not knowing how Octavia is doing and having to wait doe the next story to be published! Going to mark it so I get an alert when it comes out!

I read this book without even realizing it was book #2! I enjoyed Olivers story (several weeks back) but I really liked this story. I loved the descriptions as to what medical terms meant so that people who don’t know can still understand. Because to me, when I don’t understand a piece of a book it makes me want to skip parts of the book. Initially I was thinking wow this author did a lot of research to get her info but then reading more I learned she’s a NP! I admire that she takes time to do both things she loves! I also read the first two chapters of the next book and I was sad to learn I couldn’t read them right away!! Looking forward to Luce, I mean Landon’s story ha.

'A thrilling insight into a world of red-tape and regulation, toeing the line between temptation and professionalism. A captivating read that is certainly not a mistake . Paging all good readers, the doctor will see you now

Thank you to Greys Promotions for sending me an ebook Advanced Reader's Copy for me to read and review. Here is my honest review of Doctor Mistake.

Well, where do I start with this novel? I initially picked it up because I'm a sucker for the 'accidental pregnancy' trope, it's always a fun time to see how that accidental pregnancy came to be, and its been the longest time since I've read a novel within the medical field so...putting those two together, I had a feeling that this was going to be a story that I knew I was going to enjoy before I even turned the first page.

It was a while before that particular trope turned up, but that only gave way to the story developing before that pivotal moment happened.

Creative liberty was pushed to the max with Doctor Mistake--in a good way, of course--, as with the beauty of fiction, it can be twisted and tailored to how the author wants the story to go. This is what has been done by J.Saman here. Without dipping into the tempting pool of spoilers, you'll know the moments when reading them, where those self-same moments can only be allowed within the confines of a fiction novel. I can't imagine intimate moments of any kind would be acceptable in the real world, but I thoroughly enjoyed--and bit my lip at several occasions--when these taboo moments happened and applauded J.Saman for including them.

Sometimes it's a good thing, more than a good thing, to taste the forbidden fruit.

Now, for something new that I don't usually include in reviews. A spoiler-free rating system!

Romance: 7.5/10
Suspense: 8.5/10
Romantic suspense: 8/10
Steaminess: 8/10
Angst: 9.5/10
Gripping storyline: 9.5/10

Ta-da!

Overall for my first J.Saman read, I'm really pleased that this was such a gripping read--with me finishing it in under 24 hours--, I'm able to leave a glowing review and would recommend this novel to anyone looking to sink their teeth into what could be their next favourite read.

I would willingly jump back into this series and the world J.Saman has created for it and its characters. Without a doubt.

4.5/5 stars!

I will start by saying this is my first book by J. Saman. This book can definitely be read as a standalone but there are so many other past characters mentioned that I now want to go back and read their stories. Grace is best friends with Carter’s brother Oliver and they both work together at the hospital as attending and resident. Carter has watched Grace over the last year and has developed strong feelings but he ignores them due to his brother’s relationship with her, their working relationship and the fact that she is engaged.

When Grace discovers her fiance cheating, she ends up living with Carter. Carter is now in his own version of heaven and hell at the same time. He loves spending time with Grace and being there for her but he knows that he wants more but can’t have it. But maybe he can have it? Carter decides to go for it and tries to show Grace that he could be the guy for her. Grace might not be ready for a relationship but she also can’t deny her attraction to Carter and how he makes her feel. When together, they have a great relationship. They have fun together and have tons of chemistry. But they also have a lot to work through. Can Grace overcome her trust issues in order to give their relationship a real try? Is Carter in this for good or does he just want a fling? What will Oliver think when he finds out about his brother and his best friend?

I've loved this series and the Edge series before it, but this one was yikes. With these previous books dealing so delicately with stalking ex’s and men who can’t take no for an answer, I was surprised how Carter was pushing for so much, so fast. And surprised at how incredibly controlling he was over someone who’s had huge life upheavals. The worst offense is Carter using his authority as her boss, giving her crap assignments, just to force her to break.
