The artwork is just gorgeous. It felt like a much faster read too and there were some genuinely laugh out loud moments. I thought the Calculus-is-hearing-impaired bit was done too much at like the midpoint of the book and then it kept going even more. Regardless, I can see why this is a classic.

Professor Calculus has unique yet annoying conversations with everyone. Brisk plot that takes notice of frustration and hope. Sparse dialogue is accompanied by visually boistering shenanigans. A realistic take on treasure hunting. Snowy takes a backseat in terms of involvement and influence of the plot. The mystery antagonizes the characters. Humour is performed brilliantly by mother nature. Leads to an acknowledgement of commitment and staying open-minded. Recommended for treasure hunters that look for more than just treasure.

I had fun reading this. Hehe! It's pretty funny and I loved the illustrations. This was a good book to read during really boring and infuriating times of my current life. Also reading this made me understand the 2011 movie even more. Cause whenever I think back on that movie, I never understood anything. Except now that I've gone out to consume the original source material did it finally make sense.

Mon premier livre de Tintin en français. Je l'ai beaucoup aimé. La prochaine: Les sept boules de cristal. Allons-y!
