I think this may be my favourite in the series so far! all the girls had character growth, and each of their storylines were interesting in their own ways. I do wish the book had explored Emily being sent away a little more, it felt like it was done and dusted very quickly when it had a lot of potential to be a bigger storyline!
This was also the first book since PLL that you could see where the show got some inspiration. Hanna’s accident, the masquerade ball, and the A reveal were all definitely used as loose inspiration for scenes in the show, so it was cool to see how they contrasted!
Looking forward to reading the next one in the series!

It still surprises me how much happens early on in this series, yet, there is still a long away to go.
Hanna knowing a bit too much and it goes from bad to worse for her. Aria dealing with being caught with her teacher and acting as if it was totally unfair the police took him away… girlypop you’re a teenager he is an adult. Her dad might be a cheater but at least he makes room for Aria, even if she isn’t happy about it.
Emily being sent to live with her strict aunt and uncle to cure the rebellious gay urges, which goes as well as anything Emily does… horribly. But her family slowly starts to accept her being gay. Spencer is after her sister’s boyfriend… yet again. Honestly no wonder why Melissa is mean to her I would be too at this point in the book.
