What an exceptional book, it really is about the best of humanity. People coming together and just showing a bit of kindness to give hope. The author writes characters beautifully and it was a joy to read.

A very uplifting read about a shopping delivery driver, who helps bring the lonely residents of a street together.

It's really hard not to like this, because it really does make you feel good, and emphasises that you're never alone with your perceived failings and loneliness. I literally fell in love with all of the characters, especially Vik. Plus, there were plenty of twists and turns along the way, which made it an engaging read.

A truly beautiful and wonderful book, the kind that fills you with hope for humanity. It’s a real feel good read, in the truest sense of making you feel good. It’s an emotional read that deals with mental health issues, alcoholism and bereavement, but it never loves its hope and Charlie, we just need more Charlie’s. I really thoroughly recommend this book to restores your faith and smile

My Thoughts: I absolutely adored this book, I literally couldn’t put it down, I fell in love with Charlie right from the beginning, there was just something about him, but you could sense the vulnerability that he was trying so desperately to hide.

On his first day of his new job he meets 3 customers who are all lonely and have hidden secrets, Charlie makes it his mission to bring them all together, to ease their loneliness and deal with their issues together.

Whilst he’s doing this we soon learn that Charlie is keeping his own secrets and has his how problems to deal with.

I don’t want to say too much more because I just can’t give any of the elements of the story away. but it was so heartwarming and just shows that taking just a few minutes out of your day to talk to someone can make such a big difference to someone’s life. & the truth is that most of the time you probably wouldn’t even realise it!

Four minutes to save a life is a very easy, quick to read book with a simple and an well written plot. The story tells us about Charlie who is a supermarket delivery driver and who has 4 minutes to deliver and who is told repeatedly by his boss that he is a delivery driver not a social worker. But when Charlie is assigned Hope Row Street, he knows that he is the only contact during the week, to a few of his regular  customers like Vik, Greg and Ruth who are lonely and battling with the events of their past life. And charlie who is struggling to overcome his own past is unable to abandon these residents of Hope street and is all out to help them with a plan that will bring them together and which in return will help them overcome their guilt.

This book is so easy to read yet so heartwarming. The book shows us that four minutes and an simple plan is just enough to bring people together and save a life.  The characters are depressed but still so loving and warm that all you can do is love them back. The story touches upon aspect such as friendship, guilt, acceptance and forgiveness. Another strong message that the book gives us is that we shouldn't blame ourselves for things that happen in and around our lives or to a loved one.

According to me, this book is Anna Stuart most underrated book till now and I simple don't know why? I just loved very aspect of this book from the plot to the characters to the writing. But if I have to be true to this review, I would say the only negative I found was that the end for me was a bit chaotic but saying this it still kept me hooked on.

Overall, this was a feel good read and a well recommended one too.

Thank you to Netgalley and Orionbooks for this ARC to review.

This is a truly lovely, feel good read based around Four Main Characters Charlie, Vik, Ruth and Greg whose lives become intertwined with one another.

There are a number of themes touched upon in his book; forgiveness, grief & bereavement, mental health, acceptance and friendship.

I found this to be a really easy read that just left me feeling happy and content with life. Charlie was such a lovely kind, caring character who worked his magic with his new ‘friends’ to change their lives and outlook on life! One of the key take aways for me from this book is to always be kind. You never know what internal battles someone may be experiencing!

The one and only disappointing aspect of this book for me was that I felt the story at the end was a little rushed. I got invested in the characters, learning about them and their lives and then bam, story over! Maybe that’s just a sign that I really enjoyed it though and didn’t want it to end!

I really do not get the entire plot of this book and it absolutely makes no sense; how on earth is Charlie to blame for the suicide of Libby and why on earth did he even needed to be found "not guilty". I get parents will grieve and look for blame but the rest of it made no sense; it honestly ruined my enjoyment of the book.
