I’m really enjoying this series. The novels are short and easy reads, and I really like the characters.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Everly seems to finally be acting and thinking like a functional adult human being. Maybe being haunted was the best thing to happen to her. This on was so much better than the first book. It was fun and quirky, just like Mooselick and its residents are.

Despite my misgivings after reading the first book, I greatly enjoyed Bargain Haunter. It’s been several months since she walked in on her husband and her friend and she solved the murder of her ex high school sweetheart. Things have finally settled for Everly, or so she thinks. It wouldn’t be a cozy mystery if things went too smoothly for our heroine, now would it. In this installment we finally see Everly developing somewhat of a backbone, for which I’m eternally grateful. She’s still not the strongest character, but the author definitely makes up for it with the secondary characters.

I wouldn’t say that we have the most complex mystery here, however it is entertaining and not a complete giveaway. So definitely a must read if you’re looking for something light and entertaining.
