On the fence if this is not as good as the first volume or just as good. Either way I love this series and the new cast it introduced.

This volume seems to focus on select characters rather than trying to flesh them all out like in the first volume. This volume focuses more on Doyle, Emily, and Calvin. I guess I like that approach rather than cramming all this stuff in. Still not really a fan of Emily as the MC, but I do like her relationship with Doyle. Doyle is still my favorite, I love him. And I like what they did with his character. This volume is like weirdly focusing on coupling a bunch of the students up also, so if you're into a side romance or two than today's your lucky day.

The story seems a bit more focused, I liked the latter half more than first part dealing with the afermath of the first volume. I just didn't like how it was structured, starting in media res and flashbacking, it gets rid of the stakes.

There's just alot to like about this, I think it's a good intro to the comic side of Marvel for how many characters in introduces. If you already know a bit about them at least.

I just really like the volume and series, it's full of heart, a bit cheesey, and has an amazing cast.

I loved this so much more than the other one, I was originally mad when they brought back Dormamu back, but now I understand the decision since the project plot is really interesting and it would’ve never mattered if they killed him off, I loved issues 9 and 10 they finally used the school setting to its potential and it was so much fun, and the who dunnit of issue 11 was really fun the Howard the duck cameo was amazing, so exited for the future of this series.

Probably as fun as the first book but this just took me forever to get through. The artwork is amazing and the cameos make it totally worth it. If you’re a marvel dork.
