The examples, if you are looking for binary gender based data only, are excellent for speaking with cisgender, moderately liberal to conservative audiences. Consider this book a reference for data to drop in arguments with your conservative family members on Facebook.

Caveats: The author doesn't include data on trans or nonbinary individuals. She had separately spoken from a very transphobic POV so don't expect this to be an intersectional read.

It took me a long time to get through this one, because I could only take small chunks at a time. This book makes me so angry. And it makes me want to change my job. And change the world.

And who is going to read this book?? The women. Ugh.

I understand what she's saying and it's true and frustrating, but did I enjoy having all these statistics and data getting shoved down my throat every second of this book? No

3.5 stars. Really compelling arguments and data, just a little dry.

This book was super interesting. It was a lot of information that most women may not have heard or read, but would know to be intuitively true. My biggest complaint is that it was FAR too long- it could have been half the length and been just as impactful.
