Shocking title..

But for someone that experienced sexual abuse for many years, learning and healing from that has caused me to look into books outside my comfort zone. This one is a gentle guide that had me highlighting passages and soaking it in.

A bit repetitive, but informative. I appreciate the author's note that this is unfortunately very cishet focused, since there isn't nearly enough research on trans and queer bodies. Made the gendered language easier to bear. Important messages about acceptance of all bodies, especially your own.

Cute.
It offers a good introduction to women's sexual psychology, highlighting the importance of societal context, which I appreciated.
While it leans more towards a collection of self-help topics than the latest research, it can be useful for some people. However, it may sometimes come across as overly simplified and excessively positive.
Still, I found it interesting, informative and useful.

Absolutely loved this. As with any non-fiction on a fairly subjective subject such as sexuality, there are things I will take and things I will leave. But I really loved learning some of the science behind the differences between male and female sexuality. This book helped to open up a new vocabulary for me that will be of use in so many aspects of life, not just relating to love and relationships. I can see myself coming back to this at many life junctures as a refresher and a reminder.
