I don’t know how I feel about this series yet. I want to like it but so many things are throwing me off. The writing is my biggest issue so far, the repetition of phrases and repeating how the story progresses are incredibly annoying.
I’m always left with more questions and while it kind of makes me want to keep reading it’s also just annoying to never get answers just more questions. And it’s because the main character knows almost nothing that we as the reader know nothing.
It felt like not much happened until more than halfway through and even then it was just confusing. I was getting bored at many points as they rehashed the same plot points over and over without doing much of anything.
I do like the main couple at points and some of the side characters too.

Such a good book and a great sequel to a series I can't get enough of. I have so many more questions. And I need more all of them

I didn't like this one as much as the first one, because I spent almost the entire book screaming in my head OH MY GOD JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER!! I wouldn't quite call this the miscommunication trope, but it's close, and it was super annoying. Some of it was understandable, but some of it was forced, IMO. Also, I found it annoying how poorly copy edited this book was—tons of typos, missing quotation marks, flat-out incorrectly used (like "bemused" instead of "amused") and even non-real words (like "disoritentating"), etc. All that said, I still enjoyed the payoff in the (near) resolution in their relationship, the sexual tension, the smut itself, the action scenes, and the continued world building.
