An enjoyable, inventive mystery with twists and time-bending turns. A little hard to follow as a casual read - I definitely missed key clues. I enjoyed the time-warping with the narrator re-living the day in different bodies and trying to solve the mystery without upsetting his own timeline, and having to help his previous self at critical junctures. But by the end, the twists were getting lost on me with so much happening. Also rather violent with a lot of attacks and deaths. Still, the very end was satisfying and optimistic.

 Super cool concept and delivery!

Although it did have some moments that seemed to drag, I loved the different perspectives, and plot twists!

This book was impressive! I can't even imagine the process of developing the plot and the characters, what a process! It was almost too intricate; I couldn't keep track of all of the characters and plot lines so some of the twists didn't land like they were supposed to. Overall a super cool & different mystery that I'd recommend.

The ending was the only part of the book I was actually invested in - the rest of the book was slow and confusing. I like the idea of time travel/manipulation, but if the authour doesn’t explain/incorporate their “rules” into the plot it’s just frustrating… I was frustrated most of the book.
Also, the extreme fatphobia made it so hard to read!!! You can tell the authour is extremely discriminatory towards larger bodies through how he writes about people in the book - it was so much it was hard to read!!

holy. this novel was seriously a wild ride. i was not expecting the amount of turns this would take and the reveals just kept getting better in every chapter. i could NOT put this book down—literally kept thinking about what was happening next. this felt like a mashup of a black mirror episode and shutter island and knives out. so much was happening—and some really scary parts too—which just added even more to the thrill. i will say that im a bit disappointed about the ending because i think there could have been more to really give it a satisfactory conclusion, but aside from that, i seriously loved this book so much. 4/5 stars!

This book has such a fun premise, the setting is fun, and it has some great twists throughout. The author does a good job of capturing the Agatha Christie vibe very well.

However, this book has some issues. First, there are so many characters and all have small details that you need to remember. It gets very complicated and some of it feels redundant. The main character says his head feels full to bursting by the end and I agree.

Second, this book had some characters that just did not meet to be in there. I think we could have done with one or two less perspectives and had a tighter grip on the details as the reader. I often felt lost in the plot and then info dumped on.

Lastly, the big plot reveal for Aidan.
You are telling me this man gets trapped in this hellscape, doesn’t remember who he is, then he learns this woman is a friend, but she betrays him for a reason we really don’t know, gets cool with that real quick, learns she murders his sister in some horrific way and still decides, yeah, I’ll go on the run with this woman?  At no point did I ever feel these two were connected that deeply so the ending felt forced. I get letting her escape but now having to run away and spend his life on the run for this woman is crazy. I get what the author was doing and that the two died to themselves but you gotta make me believe it a little bit more.

Overall, despite the issues it was a fun pool read that I will still recommend to people I know love Agatha. Not the best book I have ever read, but very fun.

sadly i felt like this didnt hit as hard with the reread. its still a really cool book and very interesting twists. i just saw more holes this time when i read. i also think there was almost too many mysteries and murders that it stopped having the shock factor at a certain point
