DNF. The blurb made me think this book was right up my alley, but the execution was sadly lacking. I'm promised a boss/nerdy employee romance (one of my favorite tropes), and instead I'm greeted with some bizarre, veiled prologue that just doesn't fit my expectations. Fine, I can adjust, so I continue to chapter one. Snoozefest. The author just couldn't seem to lift her prose to any sort of compelling character introduction, and I soon got bored. Life is too short, and there are too many interesting books.

Beauty and the Billionaire is unique. It is a modern retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Miss Landish adding a whole ton of twist and sexy times. The sexy times are hot and sizzle. It is very graphic, BTW. Just the way I like it.

The story is long. There is insta lust between the characters. Their romance blossomed pretty quickly. Miss Landish focusing more on the story/ plot. The relationship between Thomas and his father is complex. Yes there is a lot of emotional baggage on the story especially from Thomas side. And it is worth it to finish the book.

The character development is enough to keep the story going. I listened to the audio book version and I enjoyed it very much. A good book to start my weekday at work.

Great book! Loved Thomas and Mia and really hooked me in from the start with this modern day take on the fairy tale. Thomas is misunderstood, broken and begins to heal all while falling in love with the tender nurturing Mia. This story is complete with plenty of intrigue and suspense and links into a bigger story, hopefully involving more from the author regarding the bombshell at the end! I hope Izzy and Char get books as I can see future interconnecting stories that this author has done so well with in the past. Wonderful beginning with hopefully more to come.

Enjoyable Read!

I enjoyed this read! A stereotypical romance (billionaire/employee), but with a bit of a twist. Mia is a genius, quirky data analyst who captures CEO Thomas’ interest quickly upon their first meeting. She tames his demons and he gives her the best (you know) she’s ever had.

The villain in this book ended up being someone I never would have suspected! Landish leads you in a completely different direction and surprises you in the end!

It isn't the worst thing. It was predictable and honestly I didn't care about Mia or Thomas. I started skipping whole chunks to see if it would get better. The writing wasn't horrible but I'm sure this is for someone who doesn't read a lot of romance.
