I decided to re read this and am now question myself why I would pit myself through this. There is nothing that grabs the attention and the reading is hard to follow.

I enjoyed this novel, I didn't love it by any means. Summerland was just too weird for me...but I liked the drama that it brought to the novel.

By far the best book in the series. I really like the story. The immortals series is unique. A good read if you want a break from the vamps.

It was sad! I'd rather read New Moon!

This is the second novel in the Immortals series. This novel picks up where the last one left off. Ever is still navigating her new abilities with her "soulmate" Damen. She still deals with serious jealousies. Especially when a new guy in town becomes extremely close to Damen, which makes Ever feel left out.

This novel was straight fluff and I had a difficult time getting through it. I will not be reading the rest of the series. The possessiveness between the "soulmates" was just not working for me. However, these novels are perfect for Twilight fans.

After reading this book, the rest just started becoming MAJOR turn-offs. It honestly got so bad, I can't even bring myself to finish the series!

Continuing on I read this next one in approx three days forcing myself to take a break. Now awaiting for third book to arrive. In the meantime I return to Castle's book two.

So... Ever is awfully dense, huh? New guy comes to town, the school turns against her (and unites) and even though she knows new guy has something to do with it, she still... doesn't know he's an actual bad guy because he doesn't have a tattoo in the same place as the last bad guy.

You wound me, Ever. You really do. That said, as frustrating as it was to read, I enjoyed the fact that Roman is an actual villain who, you know, managed to pull off his nefarious scheme because he counted on the heroine to be too stupid to trust in the right people. Usually villains exist to throw a temporary problem at the Star Crossed Lovers and then, bam, by the end of their first appearance, they're toasted.

So. Points for avoiding that. Points off for Roman's never ending speech at the end. My eyes glazed over and not even my admiration for his banking on Ever's stupidity could keep me interested.

I miss Riley and liked that we got to see her again, briefly. I'm disappointed that Miles turned so quickly on Ever, even with Immortal mind control. Haven I can see, having just lost two guys to Ever, but for once I'd like the best girl friend not be oh!so jealous. It's annoying and unnecessary.

Otherwise meh. I want more of the creepy but badly named twins and Riley. Seriously, you could off Ever and Damen and give me the exploits of Riley's Boarding School for the Dead (or... whatever they are) and I'd be all in.
