Wasn’t impressed at all. The characters drove me nuts, especially Andy, the main character. I just wanted to shake her most of the time. Get it together! The whole plot was a little over the top, just couldn’t quite buy the whole idea. I did finish it, but would not read again.

I got to 50% (in the book and on audio), and I asked myself “do I like this book?” I couldn’t even answer my own question, which answers it wholly.

OKAY so I read the "sequel" first not knowing and let me tell you that reading this one next was confusing as hell bc of the names lol I eventually got the hang of it but Ms Slaughter needs to diversify her character names. Besides that GREAT.

i definitely enjoyed this book. it wasn’t my favorite karin slaughter, but it definitely wasn’t my least favorite. i really did enjoy the plot and all the intricacies. with duel timeline/perspective books, i always end up enjoying one of the two more. this time i was more interested in Jane’s timeline/chapters. the only thing is that i didn’t really care about the main character in this book, which is odd because karin slaughter is sooo good at writing characters, and some of my favorite characters come from her books. i didn’t hate Andy, i just didn’t think she was all that interesting. i did enjoy seeing her growth by the end of the book though.
