I got bored - too long, it felt padded. But I can see how other people would like it. ALSO, Hannah Swenson is less likeable in the book than she is in the Hallmark TV version.

Another fun mystery in the Hannah Swensen mystery series. I started reading this series at book #8, so it has been fun going back to the beginning of this series and learning about the start of Hannah's relationships with Norman and Mike.
Joanne Fluke did a great job of keeping me guessing in this mystery. I did not like Coach Watson, so I was not sad that he was killed. Looking forward to reading Blueberry Muffin Murder next.

I think I am going to move to a small town, open a bakery and solve murders that mysteriously keep happening around me.

It would have been good, but the author seemed fixated on Hannah's weight too much, eventually it got annoying. Also, the ending felt like it came out of nowhere.

This was an enjoyable read. I thought that the story was great, and I love the whodunit concept. Cozy mysteries are my favourite type of mysteries. I really wanted to eat the food. The characters were great. Hannah is narrowing the suspects for who killed the coach, a judge for the Dessert Bake-Off. The story had many twists and turns in the story. I hope the series continues like this because I really enjoy seeing Hannah and her sister work together to solve the case. I want to see more this sisterly help in the other books. I can't wait for book 3. Overall, a great read.
