A poignant and haunting early King novel. Some of King's greatest ideas are here first rehearsed (the foundational bricks of IT, Gerald's Game and Pet Sematary, for one). This is a carefully plotted book that just works.

One of my favourite reads of King so far - side from a few moments of Kingisms where I groaned. Donna is a badass, and I loved reading about her. Don't expect to read this one anytime soon as it WAS sad!
