Currently, the story feels a little off the rails. As the story brings all of the characters to the forefront at once (while introducing more) I have begun to struggle more with differentiating between them and remembering all of the trauma that everyone is going through and how it fits together. I think it probably would have been smart to cut some of the characters or place them more into the background to make the plot less confusing. The various traumas are overwhelming at this point and there are some characters that I wish got more time on the page. This is especially true for the relationship between Tohru and Kyo in my opinion, especially given the reveals in this volume, because  I do not really feel a connection between them. Overall, I am still enjoying the story, but I am definitely starting to see the cracks again.

The later volumes are always so sad. Everyone has such crappy childhoods. They just want love :(

i kind of don't like kakeru now. even though he apologized to tohru, he still feels off to me. also ren and akito are the absolute worst characters to ever exist omigod, i hate them so much.
