I really enjoyed this book. I would love to find out what is actually true about Laura Bush and what is made up!

This was an interesting read, especially in light of the politics and world events of the last 15 years or so.

Absolutely brilliant. The writing style causes the reader to almost feel as if they are intruding into someone's personal life. Though the story mirrors true life events and the reader therefore knows where the plot is heading, it is still a page turner that I could not put down!

This was well written but it didn't cover as much of the characters life once her husband went into office as I thought it would. It made me misunderstand the title.

It's not a book about politics, it's a book about the human heart and the nature of love. Thinly veiled as the Laura Bush story, it takes the reader on a winding path from her early childhood to a very important day in the White House when everything in the book culminates and Alice must face the consequences for her actions. Beautifully written, the author expertly guides the reader's heart so they also feel the same love for both Andrew and Charlie that Alice feels.
