An interesting thoughtful story. Which just leaves me with the question of where had the iron man been before? Where was he returning from?

The 4 stars are for the story. Poetic, exciting, emotional - great writing.
I wasn't overwhelmed by the illustrations in this edition though.

Having grown up with the film, it was interesting to read.

Felt familiar from what was taken to make the film.
Reminded me of the Clangers because of the dragon ending up on the moon.

Beautifully written and I can imagine reading it out loud would have a lovely melody to it.

A cute book, pretty weird (but that's all right!), I was hoping for something longer and more in depth, having watched and loved the film, but as a young child's book it's different in an interesting way.
