3.5 stars. I really enjoy this alternative history of Wales. The writing is a bit loose here but that doesn't detract from the enjoyability of it. Well worth reading.

I bought this book immediately after reading the prequel (read that if you haven't because you gain a lot of important context and it adds tons to the experience). I liked David and Anna, although I wish Anna had had more interesting things happen to her, and done more stuff in general. David was a cool character, and I do want to read more about him. I was really happy in part two, for Meg and Llewellyn - that was cute! I liked the cover for book one better, and I wish the book were slightly more engaging at times, as the characters are occasionally boring. I will most likely move onto the next book soon!

Two teenagers fall through a whole in time where they just happen to save the "Prince of Wales" who is the real father of the boy. A bit far fetched but good historical information.

This felt like a young adult or less developed, travel back in time to Wales instead of Scotland version of Outlander. A quick read but not engaging.

Fun read, intriguing premise of an alternate world. I wish there had been more exploration of medieval life, but amusing.

I rarely read the next in a series if I found the first to be amazing as I've had several occasions where I've been sorely disappointed by the sequels. After reading [b:Daughter of Time: A Time Travel Romance|10842405|Daughter of Time (After Cilmeri, #0.5)|Sarah Woodbury|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1336240805l/10842405._SY75_.jpg|15756766] (a stand alone set before this book) for the second time, I decided I wanted to carry on and I was very glad I did. It is a fantastic story, not the sort of thing I normally read, and I can't wait to read the next one.

I love these books because I love to see when authors put a lot of research and effort in to a book. That being said, be prepared for a lot of medieval military strategies and names and placed that are nearly impossible to pronounce (unless one is familiar with Wales).

There is no depth to this book. I really wanted to like it but found it very frustrating.
