Personally liked Tella’s story / character more than Scarlett’s, except for the fact that her nickname is Tella. A bit faster in pace from Caraval and more suspense/mysteries/over-lapping plot lines.

Interested to see if the third book will explain how/why Tella is Jacks’s one true love. Dante as Legend wasn’t a massive surprise but Garber did a good job with keeping his identity ambiguous/making me not 100% sure it was Dante. Dante as the lost heir though was predictable. As soon as he explained the meaning behind the ship tattoo I knew it was him.

Pleasantly surprised!!

I was kinda nervous to read this one because Tella definitely isn't my favorite character, but I still found a lot of enjoyment in this book. She frustrated me a lot, but I'm glad I read this book and got her POV so I can understand her a bit more. Caraval is still my fav from this series but I'm hoping Finale really shocks and surprises me.
