Ok Madeline is kinda crazy. Like sure this cute guy works at the bookstore you hate. You don’t have to write his phone number on a sign or write on his car OR CHANGE THE PASSWORD OF HIS FAMILY BOOKSTORE’S COMPUTER. Like girl come on, I get that you’re desperate but chill out please. Jasper shouldn’t have changed the book order as well. Half the book is just Madeline freaking out about the store closing and her fighting with Jasper.
Madeline and Jasper’s relationship is…questionable. They find each other attractive but because their bookstores are rivals, they’re like “oh we can’t like each other and we’re gonna pull pranks on each other. Yes, great idea”.

It’s more like 3.5 stars but still a bit closer to 3. It’s a pleasant read but at times lacks a good dynamic to hold it together. I’m not the biggest fan of the slightly open ending but nevertheless it wrapped up quite nicely
