“We’ll only go as far as you want, darlin’.”

More great work from Beverly Jenkins — I didn’t fall head over heels in love with the characters like I have with her other work, but they were easy to root for, and the story kept me reeled in.

A magical love story, even by Ms Bev’s high standards. An instant fave for me.

No one can do it like Ms. Bev. The way she makes African American history so much more interesting is amazing. And it's just more than the slave narrative. I also enjoyed reading about the early beginnings of Henry Adams. The heat and magic between Olivia Sterling and Neil July is just amazing. Very well done job.
