I really enjoyed Thomas's [b:The Cheerleaders|30969755|The Cheerleaders|Kara Thomas|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1508532886l/30969755._SY75_.jpg|51586861] so was excited to see her newest novel was out. For the most part I enjoyed the book, and the mystery had me gripped. The last 40-ish% of the book lost me. I just found it a bit too much. Maybe I have been an adult too long, but it got too Gossip Girl-y (I also abandoned the show after a few seasons). I do like Thomas's writing and will always try her books.

WOOOOOOOOOOOW!
I literally couldn't put this book down, it was that good. A few things I saw coming, but also SO many twists I was not expecting. Such a great read! Definitely recommend to fans of Karen McManus and other twisty mystery fans.
This was the kick start I needed to beat my reading slump and considering I finished this book in six hours, I'd say it did just that! Thanks Kara Thomas!!

It was just meh, I think the author could've finished the story 10 or 20 pages less.
The plot twist didnt have any impact at all because the story got stretched too much.

the first kara thomas book i’ve given less than 4 stars. i was just a little let down with this one. maybe my expectations were too high. i just felt like nothing was really happening for most of the book. i mean stuff was, but it didn’t feel twisty or surprising until near the end. i just wish there would’ve been more of that throughout the book like her others have.

This book really captured my attention and was hard to put down once it started. Though with that being said, the ending wasn't where I thought it was going and led it to a then 4-star read.

I really enjoyed this one. The pacing felt consistent and I loved following Claire as she slowly pieced together what happened "That Weekend". I felt the final twist came a little out of left field (mainly because I'm not the best at picking up clues), but I can honestly appreciate Thomas's decision to throw in such a crazy revelation, despite how polarizing she likely knew it would be to her audience.
