An illustrated adaption of oral histories of queer and trans resistance this book is a vital read for all, both within lgbtqia+ and BIPOC communities as well as those from privalaged backgrounds such as those who are white and straight.

From the effects of covid 19 to health and food disparity, from sex workers rights to being queer and Muslim. From chronic illness to homelessness and indigenous experiences. From queer elders before us to ensuring stability for current and future queers.

This book has everything. It’s educational and informational. It shows harsh realities of queer and trans life as well as allows own voices to communicate their lived experiences.

Everyone should read this at least once.

Really liked this but felt like it was hard to read majority of the time and that some passages felt like they had more to say

#TransRightsReadathon book one! The strength, creativity, tenderness, and power of trans and queer resistance in the past ten years is here beautifully brought to life in a series of interviews with QTBIPOC activists, lovingly gathered and fully illustrated by queer artist Syan Rose. Subjects include trans financial assistance, fat queer performance art, community gardens, sex work, disability and accessible healthcare practice, and so much more.

I rated this fairly high because it is a gorgeous and thought-provoking anthology of illustrated poems, essays, and interviews.

Unfortunately, the handwritten font (as mentioned by many other users) means not every piece is actually legible. Still worth checking out if you are even slightly interested in the discussion around Q/T resistance.
