This was such a good book to be stuck inside with. I enjoy reading locked room mysteries & this took it to the extreme - an isolated lodge in the French Alps. I liked the then & now chapters, and thought they added to the confusion in guessing who the villain is. This had me guessing right until the end!

Thanks to Hachette Australia & NetGalley for the DRC in exchange for an honest review.

Decent mystery. It was a little slow at first and predictable, but I liked one of the twists at the end.

This is my second book that I’ve read by this author and I just don’t think she’s the writer for me

How? How is this a debut novel?

I was captivated from the first page and couldn't put it down until the end.

The story goes between the present day, and flashbacks 10 years prior. It was made very clear which time you're in, and the short chapters draw you in and leave you hanging on to every word.

While the writer weaves a tale that has you guessing who the brains behind everything is, she also shocks you as events from the past are revealed.

The audiobook was a perfect way for me to celebrate Halloween at work, and I'm only mad I didn't read it sooner. If you want a suspenseful "who done it" with twists you won't see coming, then definitely read Shiver!

I had the pleasure of buddy reading this fantastic debut novel by Allie Reynolds with two of my Booksta buddies.
If you're after a fast paced, page turning thriller of a book, then look no further! Shiver is set over two timelines, with short chapters and plenty of mystery. As secrets and lies are exposed, no one knows who to trust.
I can definitely recommend this one!
So get your snowboard on and ride the half-pipe to find the truth!
